Privacy

We collect only what we need to teach you: your name, phone number, email and anything you choose to tell us about your health. Health information is shared only with the teacher taking your class.

We never sell, rent or pass on your details to anyone. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Newsletter emails go out occasionally and every one carries an unsubscribe link. To have your details removed from our records entirely, write to yogashowstheway@yahoo.com and we will do it within seven days.

Cookies

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how it is used — which pages get read, and roughly where people arrive from. It sets two small files in your browser, called cookies, so that several visits from the same device are counted as one person rather than several.

They are first-party cookies: they belong to this site, they hold a randomly generated number and nothing that names you, and they are used for counting and nothing else. As the privacy section above says, we run no advertising trackers — every advertising and profiling feature Google Analytics offers is switched off here, so nothing on this site builds a picture of you or follows you anywhere else.

You can clear these cookies, or block them altogether, in your browser's settings — usually under Cookies or Site data. Nothing here stops working if you do. Visitors in Europe get no cookies until they accept the notice at the foot of the page; until then, Google receives only a basic page-view signal with no cookie and no identifier.

Fees & refunds

Class fees are payable monthly or quarterly in advance. There is no joining fee and no lock-in period. Your membership is valid at all four centres and for the live online classes.

Unused classes do not carry forward, but if you are travelling or unwell for two weeks or more, tell us in advance and we will hold your membership.

Course and teacher-training fees are refundable up to four weeks before the start date, less an administrative deduction. Within four weeks, fees may be transferred to a later batch but are not refunded.

Attendance & conduct

Please arrive before class begins. Once the initial relaxation has started, entering disturbs everyone in the room; if you are late, wait quietly at the back until the teacher signals you in.

Phones off, not silent. No shoes in the practice room. No perfume or strong scent.

Everyone is welcome here regardless of age, body, faith, background or ability. Behaviour that makes another student uncomfortable ends a membership without refund.

Health & safety

Tell your teacher about any injury, illness, surgery, pregnancy or medication before you practice, and again whenever something changes. Postures will be modified for you.

Yoga is not a substitute for medical treatment. If you have a serious condition, consult your doctor before starting, and consider a one-to-one consultation with Arun rather than a group class.

You practice at your own risk and are responsible for working within your own limits. Never force a posture; resting is always permitted.

Photography & media

We occasionally photograph or film classes and events for our website and channel. We ask before we start, and anyone who prefers not to appear simply says so — it is never a problem.

Online classes are not recorded. If a session is ever recorded for teaching purposes, everyone present will be told beforehand.

Courses & training

Certification for the 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training requires full attendance, completion of the assessments and the practical teaching evaluation. The 300-hour course is open only to graduates of a 200-hour Sivananda TTC.

Course dates may shift if a minimum number of registrations is not reached. In that case you may transfer to the next batch or take a full refund.
